Google Search Console is the most important and free SEO tool by google for webmasters to optimize the visibility of the website and to check indexing status. Google Search Console is also known as Google Webmaster Tools. Google Search Console is that basic tool used in SEO. It helps to crawl a site quickly and index in Google Search Results. A broken link on a page can easily fix by using a search console. If we have more URLs to submit, we don't need to submit URLs one by one, for that we have an option in Google Search Console Called Sitemap. A sitemap is an XML file. We can change the frequency of a website using a sitemap. XML documents are very much easy to crawl. if a website has a sitemap file, google bots crawl the sitemap first to know about the page. The maximum URLs that we can use in a sitemap is 50,000. The maximum file size of a sitemap should be 10 MB, we can also add it as a zip file. There are 5 different verification steps done in Google Search Console:-

  • Meta Tag Method
  • Google Analytics
  • Google Tag Manager
  • Domain Provider

HTML File Verification Method

HTML-File Verification


First Search Console Method is HTML File Verification. Search Console provides an HTML file, we need to add it on the website home directory using  Cpanel Login.





Meta Tag  Method

The Second method given by the search console is Meta Tag Method. We need to copy that meta tag given by google and paste it on the head section







Google Analytics

The third method in the Search Console is Google Analytics. Google Analytics measures the traffic of the website, we can know from where the users are accessing our page, at what time, etc. 






Google Tag Manager

In this method, we use tag manager.  The tag manager id is used to verify the ownership. Tag managers are javascript codes that can be pasted at the head and body section. With the help of the tag manager connected to the Gmail account, we can verify the website.











Domain Provider

Domain-Provider



In this method, we can verify the website through a domain provider. Copy the text provided by the search console to the DNS data entry option, then it will verify the website.
